We provide theory sessions before you get in the water to make sure you feel safe and confident. Join us to share our love for surfing and become part of our community.
At Coast Surf School, we are also committed to giving back by supporting the local community through teaching children to swim, surf, and stay safe in the water.

Honouring a legend
Coast Surf School in Kuta, Lombok would like to honour a local legend known to many as Jaka. He is the father of Riski, one of Coast’s founders and the person who first inspired the dream of building a surf school.
More than 20 years ago, Jaka opened one of the very first surf schools in Kuta called Kuta Reef. A talented surfer, Jaka won the Indonesian Surfer Cup in Bali back in 2001. But in 2006, after a serious motorbike accident, he was forced to step away from the sport and a life he loved.
Years later, that dream was brought back to life. Coast Surf School was created to honor his
passion for surfing and the legacy he left in Kuta. For Riski and the team behind Coast, the name represents something new — a fresh beginning, and the place where land will always meet the sea.
